This is the awesome Honda CRM250AR. I want one. This bike was a breakthrough and probably holds the title of the best green laner ever!! Power delivery was good throughout the range especially for the low end. This was because of the Active Radical technology on the 2 stroke engine. Honda developed a way of minimising emmissions and improving fuel economy on the 2 stroke and got 99% of the way there with this godlike machine. This was pretty much the pinnacle of the 2 stroke trailie and not long after that the emphasis went to 4 stroke. It's a sad moment in the motorcycle world that 2 strokes are disappearing. They are the best small engined bikes, easy to fix, bomb proof and powerful. And this one is gorgeous.

This is the Yamaha DT175. One of the best green laners and certainly the best in the DT family. This bike has an incredibly strong power train and if it could grip, it would easily climb a brick wall. Light and easily thrown around, this machine was the total package. I had one in 86, and it was fantastic. The one here has been restored to show room condition and was up for sale for 2,500. If I had the money, it would be in my hands already. It's a beautiful looking bike and like I said before, one of the best from the golden age of 2 stroke trail bikes.
Suzuki SV650S, 73 BHP, 130 MPH, 4 stroke V twin sports. Nice bike but difficult to throttle, very twitchy and slows very quickly when you throttle off. For someone used to 2 strokes, that's hard on the nerves.
Yamaha DT125R-LC, 16 BHP, 75 MPH, 2 stroke single. Great little bike that is just at home on the road as it is exploring the green lanes and byeways (those that are left). This was the first bike I bought brand new.
